We are looking for more people to make this work even better! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Border monitoring expert<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your responsibilities will include:<\/strong><br\/>-Working with asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection <strong>, mostly in Latgale<\/strong>, to identify the risks they face and to promote their capacity to protect their rights, especially in detention centres.<br\/>&#8211; Monitoring border crossing practices.<br\/>&#8211; Organising volunteer support in cooperation with colleagues.<br\/>&#8211; Cooperation with state and local authorities, NGOs and the private sector involved in providing support to asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international assistance.<br\/>&#8211; Regular communication with project funders, preparation of reports and monitoring reports.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We wish you had:<\/strong><br\/>&#8211; Motivation and interest to get involved in the goals of the association &#8220;I Want to Help Refugees&#8221; and the ability to take initiative, most importantly &#8211; the desire and interest to work with beneficiaries of international protection, as well as a genuine desire to understand their living conditions.<br\/>&#8211; Master&#8217;s degree in social sciences or humanities.<br\/>&#8211; Experience of working with asylum seekers, beneficiaries of international protection.<br\/>&#8211; Understanding of asylum policy and legal frameworks in Latvia and internationally.<br\/>&#8211; Analytical thinking, ability to argue and justify, high sense of responsibility, punctuality, excellent communication skills, incl. intercultural communication skills<br\/>&#8211; Good command of English &#8211; spoken and written &#8211; and Russian &#8211; spoken (ability to advise people in these languages), and very good knowledge of Latvian. Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.<br\/>&#8211; Category B driving licence. Car preferred. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We offer:<\/strong><br\/>&#8211; EUR 2000 gross salary per month.<br\/>&#8211; Most of the work is carried out <strong>in Daugavpils<\/strong>. <br\/>&#8211; Health insurance.<br\/>&#8211; Responsible, dynamic work in a growing organisation with a friendly and highly motivated team.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vacancy is for a fixed period (until the end of this year), renewable thereafter. <br\/>Please send your CV and motivation letter to gribupalidzetbegliem@gmail.com by 23 January.
