Human rights for all

The project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Programme “Active Citizens Fund”. It aims to protect the rights of beneficiaries of international protection and to raise awareness of human rights within the local society in Latvia. The project consists of four interrelated activities.

Two of them – the Cultural Festival on Migration and Cultural Diversity and the “Buddy” – Friendship Support Programme – will promote intercultural dialogue and public awareness on human rights, especially the rights of asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection. Two other activities are aimed at the advocacy for victims of human rights violations and discrimination, as well as for the wider interests of asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection in the society of Latvia.
