LIVING LIBRARY with residents of Riga, asylum seekers and refugees

March – November 2017

Stories are a means of introduction, explanation and communication. Not all stories can be found in books. Often, the most interesting stories are from the people around us, and many of these could be found at Gribu palīdzēt bēgļiem’s Living Library. Eleven events took place within two years, in which people from many different places worldwide shared their stories. With these conversations, the artificial barriers between us and them were torn down, helping us to see what we have in common as humans.
